Frekvens
Northern (de) Lights is a series of miniature dance works created for GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. Live music, video art and zombies – the sum of the five works contains the most. The surface must be small and every work card, but the intensity of them burns, challenges and awaken thoughts.
Norwegian Ingun Bjørnsgaard has been inspired by August Strindberg’s Inferno. The Swedish choreographer Charlotta Öfverholm’s work contains water in all its forms. From northern Germany comes Felix Landerer. In his zombie-inspired piece, the dancers interact with the rhythm of light. A claustrophobic mood prevails in the work of Gothenburg-based Pedro Goucha Gome, while Peter Svenzon from the same city interleaves video art, interviews and self-composed music in his choreography – where a trumpet participates.
Together, these five choreographers have created a Northern European interpretation of the dance season’s theme Mind & Spirit.
