Kod
About the meaning of different behaviors, about understanding and misunderstanding as the results of different “Codes”.
KOD – about situations displaying meetings, affection, status, fitting in or not.
KOD – about question at issue and points of contact mostly current when you are young.
In the playful and physical choreography of KOD, three dancers and one rap artist/ poet performs on stage. In KOD you will find the meeting of the spoken word and the language of the body.
–As in KOD – a work from last year, now visiting Stockholm – when Ulriqa Fernqvist with her arm sweeps down Peter Svenzon to the floor in an aggressive attack that turns into tenderness.
Relationships and reactions go like a red thread in the chore where cool kicks swirl the air around loneliness and get into wrestling, but contact can also occur in a hand that gently trim along a back.
-Themes such as isolation, integrity, adaptation and the urgency of time are touched, but the choreography does not illustrate the words but builds more on moods that are amplified by light and, above all, of the music that belong to the strengths of the performance.
